when we get home from our three hour dinner and the biggest boys are awake and talking in their room under the strung blue christmas lights that glow against the one wall and we chat and laugh about nothing and everything and you tell yourself...do this more; fight against the tiredness that comes after getting all the kids to finish the brush their teeth-get in bed-stay in bed-go back to bed-stay in bed routine and instead of rushing off to the couch to be tired, stay with them instead...talk to them, listen to them because these are the moments that help all the daytime work to make sense.
