when the pipe dream is put to death and there's this unusual freedom of contentedness that comes with the dying. because the phone call wasn't what you thought it'd be, what you hoped it'd be, but it was the confirmation you needed to just move on. when the theme of this season of life has been TIMING and this is one more reminder that timing matters because just two days before the phone call you had asked the One who has the best timing, the Great Keeper of all time, to help you move into satisfaction after all these months of hoping for change, and then this call lays it all down so gently and with such care that you really can't be sad at all that this dream is gone because you are so thankful for the way it went away.
